Lago Bianco snowed in St.Moritz had us venture off

In that moment I knew I had to take this risk to experience something exciting. We came here to explore. I wasn’t going to be satisfied with sitting in the train for at least 10hours and not have an exciting little venture I can remember.

As of recent events you might have heard of a popular Spot in Switzerland called St.Moritz since the Ski jump world championship took place there. Besides this huge event it’s known to be a popular attraction for alpine lovers from all around the world! (it’s pretty expensive btw)

Finally. Even though at this moment (Saturday Morning 5:15am) I all I could think about was passing out in the train. It was the day of our long awaited Snow Adventure! Our plan; Get to the amazing natural frozen black ice lake in Graubünden, Switzerland. It seemed worth the long ride of 5h. We didn’t plan much, and would go with the flow as the trip progressed. And of course, we chose the perfect weekend. Our destination was St.Moritz, which you might have heard of since the recent Ski World Championship took place when we went there so you can imagine that we weren’t the only ones on the way there. At the tourism office our bubble of excitement kinda bursted while we wanted to get ice skates, we found out that pretty much everything was snowed in at least a meter. Well, great. But what do real Adventurers do? Well go with the snow.(flow-snow lol).

The train to the lake had awesome panorama Windows we clearly took advantage of! I also enjoyed sharing the beautiful landscape live with you guys on my  instastory! Really appreciate that tool to bring you along my ventures!

Clouds rolled up as we arrived at the kinda deserted train Station of Ospizio Bernina. All we could see was white. No lake in sight! Everything was completely snowed meters deep. The sky got darker. At this little train hut we were. What should we do next? Take the next train back? Did we come all this way to see white?

I had an eye on a bridge across the lake. Maybe a little more exciting than taking the next train home. The only way was to walk along the snowed in rails (let me note -1 rail, which means possible train from both sides. Half of us weren’t into the idea.

We knew when the next train would pass and tried to get passed the narrow passages. Well.. I lost track of time (because apparently iphones die in the cold). Suddenly we notices the red train coming up behind us. And yes, we were at exactly the curve we didn’t know where to escape to. I tried to jump up the snow and hold on a post while my sister ran off.

After surviving that, we shot some scenes on the bridge but it felt like a legit snowstorm the Wind was crazy.

The ride home felt a bit longer since we we’re kinda exhausted from the overall travel. This is a sorry to all the people we annoyed in the train because we were having so much fun!
